GW3MFY SILENT KEY
Bill Lee, GW3MFY passed away in the early hours of Friday Morning. He had been fighting the final stages of Cancer for the past 7 months, and my gosh did he fight! Most of you will know that Bill loved 6m! I have him to thank, for getting me interested in the magic band back in 2001! I shall certainly miss my grandfather on 6m! Let our thoughts be with him. The Daily DX reports that Dennis, 5J0BV has extended his stay and is now expected to remain active from San Andres until 16 UTC on 6 July. QSL via K7BV.
Pirated ! 6W1SJ pirated on 6 and may be other. Hi all! As I have received several E-mail questions I would like to inform DX and QSL communities that Jovica, 6W1SJ was not active yesterday (27. June) on 6m. You either worked Peter, 6W1SE or pirate. Please save your money and my time and do not send QSL requests for QSO's of 27. June to me. 73's Boris E73Y (Maurice F5NQL)
I received this from Ken's son Martin this morning "Derek, Sadly, Dad passed away on Wednesday. He spent his last few days in the Pilgrim's Hospice in Margate. He was 90 and had a very good innings, so celebration for what he achieved is the order of the day, rather than mourning. If you are able to notify any of his ham compatriots it would be appreciated. My brother, Stephen, will be notifying the RSGB. The funeral will be at the Thanet Crematorium at 2pm on Monday 27th July. We will be arranging a get together afterwards to which everyone is invited. Best wishes, Martin" A very sad day indeed. Greatly missed G8VR SK. 73 Derek G8ECI Submitted by Derek, G8ECI
