For more info look http://www.cq9u.comMonday 21 July 2008  EA6, BALEARIC ISLANDS Andre, LX1FX, is expected to be active from Minorka Island (EU-004) between July 22nd and August 15th (possibly one week longer). Activity will be on the HF bands and 6 meters as well as 70, 144 and 432 MHz. Modes will be CW, SSB, as well JT6 via MS. Andre's equipment is an ICOM 7000, OZ xvrtr/4m - dipole antenna for VHF and a "Fieber- glaasstab" on the HF bands. He will be on stand-by with an Marine-TRX ICM-710M on 14.333 MHz and 10.133 MHz (0900z). Thursday 17 July 2008  TF3SIX becomes TF1SIX Hi OM. I want to tell you that I will change the call sign on my 6m beacon on 57.057MHz from TF3SIX to TF1SIX on Saturday and from that time it will be a new QTH for him, that is HP94SC at my country house on the south coast of Iceland about 1 hour drive from Reykjavik to the east. I am QRV most days on most of the day. I know the paths are there. Last year I worked UR6IM in KN88). Running 100 W into a 2x5 ele vertically stacked Yagi's on top of a fossile coral cliff with excellent take off in all directions. Most of the time I am calling CQ on 50.110 , but that can be very lonely out here, when no condx to JA. Hope to work some nice ones soon.
