The
UKSMG Worked All Europe Award is presented to Radio Amateurs and Short Wave
Listeners who demonstrate their operating skills on the 50 MHz band. The award
is recognised by three certificates marking twenty, forty
and sixty DXCC European countries worked. Each certificate is
numbered sequentially and a list of certificates awarded will be published in Six
News, the quarterly journal of the UK Six Metre Group.
The
certificates can be endorsed for contacts made using a single mode, i.e. SSB /
CW.
This
award has the following rules:
The certificate is available to members and non-members of the UK Six Metre Group although we would encourage you to join.
No cross band contacts permitted.
IT, Sicily, does not count towards this award.
For SWL, station logs must show both the claimed station and the station being worked.
Beacon reports and CQ calls are not permitted.
QSL cards are not required but both stations must consider all contacts complete and a signed declaration is required from the applicant on the application form.
The start date for eligible QSO’s is January 1st 1989.
The
cost of the award is as follows:
UK members - £4.00.
UK non-members - £5.00.
Overseas members - $5.00.
Overseas non-members - $8.00.
These
charges are to defray the cost of printing media, packing and postage.
